How we structure our networking
Your Business Matters meetings are designed to make the most of your time, helping you expand your network and grow your business.
You’ll always know what to expect
From the moment you arrive and are welcomed by our team, there’s time to settle in, grab a coffee and be introduced to members before the meeting gets underway. Every session follows the same clear agenda, so you’ll know what’s coming next. Structured introductions, a practical discussion or learning element and valuable time with members mean every part of the meeting has a purpose. You’ll leave feeling like the time spent away from your business was worth it.
Networking without the hard sell
You won’t find people trying to sell to each other at Your Business Matters meetings. We believe that when you try and sell to the room, you limit your opportunities. When you focus on building relationships, those people become your advocates instead. They refer you to their contacts, collaborate with you on opportunities you couldn’t access alone and champion your business outside of group meetings which is a powerful, sustainable way to grow.
Every networking meeting is a chance to learn and grow
At each meeting, there’s time for members to share knowledge and insights with each other. It could be a member sharing how they built their business and the lessons they learned along the way. Sometimes it’s a group discussion about a challenge everyone can relate to or a practical skill you can take away and implement. You’ll always leave a Your Business Matters networking event with something useful.
Every group is built around its members
When you enquire about visiting, we’ll find out more about your business before we recommend a group. Think of it like business matchmaking. We’ll make sure the members in the group run businesses that complement yours and there are potential collaborative opportunities. It’s that attention to detail that makes our networking groups so special.
Getting the right balance
I’ve been part of Barbara’s Wellingborough group since 2017, joined the North Northants group in 2018, and proudly took on the role of Chair for the Bedford group when it launched in 2024. The return on my investment - both in time and money - has been exceptional. The groups strike the perfect balance: relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely focused on helping each other grow - I look forward to every meeting.
