In November, we announced the exciting launch of our Connections Club.
Our inaugural launch meeting will be on Tuesday 29th January at the Collingtree Golf Club. This networking club is a membership organisation created for business owners, decision makers, experts and influencers to share experiences and knowledge and make new connections in order to grow and develop their companies.
As part of the planned monthly meetings – members will have the opportunity to speak about their businesses, engage in meaningful one-to-ones with other members and hear from guest speakers.
What makes this networking group different?
I think what makes The Connections Club a different networking experience is the opportunity to hear from successful business owners and leading experts in their fields on a regular basis. The selected speakers may for example, be a business owner speaking about how they built their business or experts sharing valuable advice about a specific skill or tool. I have built into the ethos of this club the valuable opportunity for members to get a chance to ask questions and take away some deeply valuable lessons from the people in the room, as well as build their business network.
The Connections Club will also feature a regular panel where members can share business advice and challenges with the group.
The variety of professions in the Club
Places for the Club are filling up fast with people who really have something to say, and valuable advice to share. Our planned hot seat slots will give members the opportunity to sound out new ideas, gain new contacts and overcome challenges, with the help of a panel of like-minded people.
The Connections Club will have not have a lock-out for each profession but will instead have three slots available for each, in order to reduce competition.
I was really pleased to receive this comment recently from Lucy Walsh, Managing Director of health and safety consultancy, Crystal Clear Compliance, who has already signed up to attend the launch of the Connections Club. She said:
“I’ve known Barbara for a long time and have experienced her proactive approach to networking first hand. She always knows how to get the right people in the room to form strategic, fruitful and long-lasting business relationships with some fantastic results.
The Connections Club is set to be a little different and I’m extremely interested to see how it works. The Club has been designed for companies of all sizes and people across all sectors who are serious are growing their businesses. I’m looking forward to hearing from key speakers – it is always incredibly useful to learn how individuals have grown their businesses and become successful, and together with the opportunity to ask questions, I believe this aspect will benefit so many people. As well as meeting new contacts, it will give members the chance to go away and put new lessons they have learnt into practice. The Connections Club is definitely an exciting new area of networking I have certainly not seen before.”
